My imagination hasn't gone wild yet, but it is learning to face and overcome boundaries that I have put in place for no greater good than to please others. However, the journey of freeing my mind is just as valuable as freedom itself.

Originals by Bronte Rose was created as an outlet for creative pursuits. Losing myself in the flow of art, has helped me understand more about myself, and open up possibilities that I never would have dreamt of. 

 

I was once that kid who drew on everything... and I mean everything. I've always loved everything creative, but out of fear of never making it in the world as an artist, I chose a safe path in life. Somewhere along the line, I lost faith in myself. I spent four years of my life at university and graduated with a degree in health sciences. After seven years in the health profession as a Podiatrist, I realised I needed to stop lying to myself. Smothering my creativity was like taking away a very important piece of myself. So I made the jump and went back to the place where my heart feels content. Goodness, what an honest and incredible journey this has been.

The beginning of the process has been awakening myself through many different creative avenues - music, drawing, writing, jewellery making, pottery, candle making, and so on. In that process, I learnt that while I particularly enjoy creating digital art, I do not wish to be defined solely by one genre, but rather continue to allow varying forms of art to expand the boundaries of my creativity. I believe that skill diversity does not necessarily inspire mediocrity, it keeps your mind flexible and the possibilities endless. I cannot explain what an amazing feeling that experience is, and how grateful I am to be on this evolving path.
